Torna a Verona la più antica orchestra d’Europa, la Sächsische Staastskapelle Dresden. Lo storico ensemble, fondato nel 1548 dal Principe Elettore Moritz von Sachsen e che ha visto succedersi sul proprio podio direttori quali Weber, Wagner e Richard Strauss, sarà sul palco del Teatro Filarmonico per “Il Settembre dell’Accademia” venerdì 13 settembre. Alla testa dell’orchestra Daniele Gatti, dal 1 agosto Direttore Principale della Staastskapelle, che guiderà il complesso in un viaggio visionario e coinvolgente nella musica tedesca fin de siècle prendendo le mosse dal conturbante poema sinfonico “Verklärte Nacht” di Arnold Schönberg e approdando alla grandiosa Sinfonia n.1 “Il Titano” di Mahler.

The oldest orchestra in Europe, the Sächsische Staastskapelle Dresden, returns to Verona. The historic ensemble, founded in 1548 by Prince Elector Moritz von Sachsen and which played under the baton of conductors such as Weber, Wagner and Richard Strauss, will be on the stage of the Teatro Filarmonico for “Il Settembre dell’Accademia” on Friday 13 September. At the head of the orchestra will be Daniele Gatti, Principal Conductor of the Staastskapelle since 1 August, who will lead the ensemble on a visionary and engaging journey through fin de siècle German music, starting from the perturbing symphonic poem “Verklärte Nacht” by Arnold Schönberg and arriving at the grandiose Symphony no. 1 “The Titan” by Mahler.
